Methodology

Community Reports are voluntary, self-selected survey responses. They do not represent all voters and cannot verify how any ballot was officially tabulated.

Official Results are numbers published by election offices. California and North Carolina load directly from those offices. For 23 more states, office-published counts arrive through The People's Tally open data feed (CC BY 4.0). Every row names its office and last-updated time.

News Race Calls are posted by approved contributors, each naming and linking the outlet that made the call. They are unofficial and never presented as certified results.

We show participation counts and simple shares of submissions. Areas with too few submissions are hidden to protect privacy and avoid misleading numbers.

Differences between Community Reports and Official Results are expected and are not evidence of wrongdoing.
